6.1.14. Removal, check and installation of the parking brake
Removal
Remove the back console.

Weaken an adjusting nut and disconnect from the lever a cable of the parking brake (fig. 6.55). Remove the switch of a control lamp of the parking brake.
Remove the lever of the parking brake assembled.
Remove a back wheel.
Remove a brake drum.
Remove brake shoes.

Disconnect a cable from a block of the parking brake (fig. 6.56).

Remove a ring of fastening of a cable to a basic brake disk (fig. 6.57).

Unscrew fastening bolts клипс fixings of cables of the parking brake, remove cables assembled (fig. 6.58).
Check
Check operability of the switch of a control lamp of the parking brake.
Check a condition of a ratchet of the lever of the parking brake.
Estimate a condition of cables of the parking brake.

Check color identification labels of cables of the parking brake. Connect cables according to labels (fig. 6.59).
Identification label
Left side: the red.
Right side: the yellow.
At installation of the top returnable spring remove the regulator lever back (fig. 6.60).

Fix cables of the parking brake, as is shown in drawing 6.61. Grease a ratchet and a doggie of the lever of the parking brake with konsistentny greasing.
Establish a regulator of cables and adjust cables of a drive of the parking brake.

NOTE
The parking brake should work at the eighth click of a ratchet of the lever of the parking brake at the effort of 196 N attached to a point of the lever, 40 mm located at distance from the lever end.
