Check of level of oil (ATF) in AKPP
Conduct the car while oil (ATF) in a check point will not reach normal working temperature (70-80°C).
Establish the car on an equal horizontal platform.
Press a pedal of a brake and move the AKPP selector lever consistently through all provisions (detaining him in each of them for some seconds) for filling with oil (ATF) of all hydrocontrol system of AKPP and the AKPP hydrotransformer, and then establish the selector lever in the situation "N".
Before extraction masloizmeritelny щупа clear of dirt a place about it. Take out щуп and check an oil condition in a check point (ATF).

NOTE
If oil (ATF) in AKPP has a burned smell, it is a sign of pollution by its small particles of wear of frictional overlays of elements of management of a check point. In this case, probably, major maintenance of a transmission is required.

Normal level of oil in AKPP (ATF) should be in a range of "NOTES" masloizmeritelny щупа. If level is lower specified, add oil for (ATF) AKPP to normal level.
Oil for automatic transmissions (ATF): GENUINE HYUNDAI ATF SP-II M.

NOTE
If oil (ATF) level in AKPP is lower normal, the oil pump will grasp oil together with air that will lead to formation of vials and oil foaming in hydrosystem. It will reduce working pressure in a hydrocontrol system that in turn will lead to delay at gear shifting (late inclusion of transfers) and pro-slipping of frictional couplings or brakes. If oil (ATF) level in AKPP more normal, at the expense of rotation of gear wheels of planetary mechanisms arises plentiful foaming of oil (ATF) that as a result will lead to the same consequences, as well as in case of low level of oil (ATF) in AKPP. In both cases air vials are at the bottom of an overheat, oxidations of oil (ATF) and adjournment of a varnish which puts out of action valves, couplings and executive mechanisms. Foaming also leads to oil (ATF) emission through сапун AKPP case that wrongly take for leaks.

Densely insert masloizmeritelny щуп into a regular opening.
In case of major maintenance of an automatic transmission or car operation in heavy road conditions oil replacement in AKPP (ATF) and the oil filter is obligatory. Procedure of replacement of oil in AKPP (ATF) is described below. Thus it is necessary to remember that in automatic transmissions only special oil filters are used.

Oil replacement in (ATF) AKPP
You can use installation for fast replacement of oil (ATF) in AKPP (ATF fluid charger). If such installation is not present, replace oil (ATF) in AKPP as it is described below.
Oil (ATF) plums from AKPP hydrosystem:
– disconnect a hose which connects a transmission to a maslookhladitel located in a radiator of cooling of the engine;
– start the engine and let's to oil (ATF) flow down through a hose.
Conditions of performance of operation:
– the engine idles;
– the lever of the AKPP selector is in the situation "N".

ATTENTION
In one minute after start the engine should be muffled. If all oil (ATF) flowed out before this moment, the engine should be muffled immediately.

Unscrew a drain stopper on the lower part of a case of AKPP and merge oil (ATF) from the AKPP oil pallet.
Establish a drain stopper with laying on a place and tighten a stopper the moment of 32 N · m.
Fill in new oil for (ATF) AKPP through a maslozalivny tube of AKPP.

ATTENTION
If the nominal volume of oil for AKPP (ATF) is not included into a transmission, stop filling.

NOTE
Check pollution existence in the merged oil (ATF). If in AKPP more nominal volume is filled in oils (ATF), again let's flow down to oil from a transmission.

Replace the AKPP external oil filter. At considerable pollution of oil (ATF) check an AKPP internal oil filter condition.
Fill in new oil for (ATF) AKPP through a maslozalivny tube of AKPP.
Connect a hose of a maslookhladitel of AKPP and reliably establish into place masloizmeritelny щуп. Before installation masloizmeritelny щупа AKPP clear of dirt a place about it.
Start the engine and let's work to it idling within 1–2 minutes.
Move the AKPP selector lever consistently through all positions and then establish it in the situation "N".
Be convinced that oil level in AKPP (ATF) is in «COLD» range («cold AKPP») masloizmeritelny щупа. If level is lower specified, add necessary amount of oil for (ATF) AKPP.
Pass on the car some distance that the temperature of oil (ATF) reached normal working value (70-80°C) then again check oil level in AKPP (ATF) which should be in a range of "NOTES" («heated-up AKPP»).

Densely establish masloizmeritelny щуп in a maslozalivny tube of AKPP (fig. 3.46).

AKPP oil filter replacement
Remove the air filter assembled, then by means of the special tool (a chain key of the oil filter, etc.) remove the AKPP oil filter.
After filter removal by means of fabric mittens or rags clear a transmission surface from брызгов oils for AKPP (ATF), dirt, etc.
Clear a surface of fastening of the AKPP oil filter.

Grease with a small amount of pure oil for (ATF) AKPP a surface of ring laying of the AKPP oil filter (fig. 3.47).
Establish the AKPP oil filter into place.
Inhaling moment: 11–13 N · m.
Check oil level for (ATF) AKPP in a transmission.
